New idea....
We decided to completely change our idea as our original concept didn't work as well as we hoped, we were struggling to film the protagonist with his girlfriends without making the video seem too cliché. The song we were originally going to use also seemed very symbolic and too close to the pop genre for our personal liking so we, as a group have also decided to change the song for our music video.

More Digipak Analysis...

Another example of a Digipak from the alternative-rock genre, from the band Enter Shikari. The entire digipak is made in black and white, creating higher contrasting more effective images. The bright white lights also made the other components of the images look a bit more like sillohettes which is another convention of the rock genre. The photographs also link to the album as they're photographs from that albums tour. Similar to the ACDC digipak this album also has huge writing which makes it stand out even more than the photograph itself, telling us that the writing is most sybolic for the band. The font on the cover of the CDs are consistent through their music videos, album covers and band merchandise, the font used for their writing is in a way symbolic for the band, as its consistently repeated throughout their products.

This is another example of digipaks winthin the rock genre, this is a digipak from one of Linkin Parks CDs. Again similar to the Enter Shikari album the photographs used for this are in black and white. This album cover however follows Andrew Goodwins theory on creating a star image, as the inside of the digipak contains close-ups of the band members. The contrast of the photographs are very high and the backgronds are very plain and simplistic, making it look more effective as the band members stand out more. The bands name is written in black bold letters and the contrast of the black writing and white background makes it more prominent. The CD itself has the triangle which is the bands symbol. The back of the album also has the chinese translation to appeal to chinese audience as well. The black silloettes of the band members also conform to their music videos of tracks from the album showing synergy between the products.
Digipak Research
Digipaks are a format of packagng CDs and are often
used as packaging for CDs. They mostly commonly
contain a gatefold (book-style) paperboard or card outer binding. Digipaks came to be used to
describe all soft CD packaging.Digipaks were first created by
MeadWestvaco. Digi-paks are now very commonly used and are used more than plastic CD cases as they're more environmentally friendly and dont break unlike plactic cases.

This was the 2000 AC DC digipack with aselection of their songs from tour. The image on the top left is the main cover for the digipack. The image on the top right is supposedly on the back of the digipack and lists the songs which are on the album cover. On both the front and back of the CD, the band name 'AC DC' is written in massive bold letters making it stand out more and as it is on both front and back of the CD its almost like a symbol representing the band. The front cover contains a photograph of all members of the band, and all bandmembers are dressed in black to match the dark background, adhearing to the rock genre.

Practise Filming
For the first few seconds of our opening song we wanted to have a series of close-ups of one of the characters feet, we then wanted to edit the feet moving to the beat of the music and every few beats we wanted to change the background keeping the feet in the dame position making it seem as though the background is changing to the beat of the music.
