A Day To Remember - All Signs Point to Lauderdale
This music video deals with the contemporary issues of bullying in an extreamy non-cliche way, the music video is very comical and uplifting in its concept. The camera work is beautifully done with panning, midshots depth of firld etc. This video goes against the Andrew Goodwin theory as it falls under the rock/metal genre and doesn't contain any elmentsof a porformance video in it, however in my opinin this acctually makes the video more effective as the audince get attached to the narrator and emapathise with him more (similar to the kodaline video) and we hope to achive a similar emphathy for our protagonist in our music video.
Story So Far - Empty Space
This is mostly a performance video, however I think that this is also a very well done video. The time lapses match with the songs fast paced beat well and the hand held shots of their gigs make them seem very natural. Most performance videos are shot at huge stadiums with thousands of people in the audience, in this video however the crowds are alot smaller and because of this the video seems a lot more personal, becuse its shoing the band when they first started off.
